When did you "officially" get into Yu-Gi-Oh!, and how long ago was it exactly?
*When I was in sixth grade and they had it on Kid's WB, so that would be about 5/6 years ago? Wow. I should note that Yugioh was what first got me into manga too.

Yeah. WHY?
*I did not know it at the time, but I was in love with the art style. I had crushes on Seto, a little bit of Yami Yugi, and Dark Bakura (hoho, especially Dark Bakura), plus for some reason I actually liked the plot - go figure? Plus, once I started reading the manga, I was like WOW, SO GOOD.


How many episodes have you actually seen/volumes of manga have you actually read?
*I saw the episodes all the way up to the Orichalcos Doom saga, which I couldn't take and wanted to shank, so I stopped watching. And I caught a few eps of Millenium World, but I kept missing it because the times got switched up or something... In terms of manga, I read volumes 1-4 of the original Yugioh, 1-4 of Yugioh Duelist, and all of Millenium World via Shonen Jump. Trying to get through the rest though.

Do you call yourself a true blue, die hard Yu-Gi-Oh! fan?
*While Avatar came close to being my number 1, I'd say Yugioh probably is my number one anime/manga/fandom. It was my first manga, and I loved the deviousness of it, and I definitely think there are some aspects of it in my own story/characters. So, yes, I am true blue and diehard.


Do you collect the TCG cards? If so, do you conduct actual Duels or do you just gather rare cards and store them away for safe keeping?
*You may not believe me, but I never really played the game. I got a few shiny cards free in my Shonen Jump magazine, but I just stored them away. I seriously never got into the game, I liked the art, story, and especially the characters, but that was it.
And I am DEAD SERIOUS

If you have any Yu-Gi-Oh! merchandise, or a whole collection of merchandise rather, how much money do you think you've spent over your time as a fan as a total?
*Merch? Well, I usually spend my money on the manga. BUT one of these damn days, I'm going to spend my cash on Yugioh Season 2 - so I can finally see it in Japanese. Total? That's about $80 or so on manga, and Shonen Jump, so not too bad.


Are you picky about where you buy your Yu-Gi-Oh! merchandise? If so, where do you like to buy it from?
*Picky? Since there's not a lot left around anyway, no. Speaking of Merchandise, I'm thinking of designing my own shirts for Yugioh, not the little kiddie crap - and I'd make them TOTALLY BADASS *cough*likethemangaandnottheanime*cough*

Are you picky about who even touches your Yu-Gi-Oh! merchandise?
*Not really... More about who sees it. I'm a senior in High School now, and I don't want the grief of "You still watch that kid's show?! What a loser!"

*I'm lazy and type Yugioh.


Do you prefer to refer to the characters by their Japanese names or English names
*I got so used to the English names, that's what I call them by - though I've started to prefer Jounouchi over Joey and I've always preferred Malik over Marik - because Malik IS ACTUALLY AFRICAN AND FITS THE CHARACTER.


~ WHO R UR HOMIEZ? (Character-based questions)~

Of course, this is the first question in this section: Who's your favorite character overall?

*THAT IS SO HARD TO CHOOSE D:< Seriously, I like a lot of the characters.
Probably Bakura (both sides, but I'm glad good Bakura won ^_^), along with Malik, Jounouchi and Seto.


So, if you like him/her so much, tell us why.
*I'm doing this for all four of them:
1. Bakura? Well, I loved hearing his Dark Side's voice every Saturday morning, and he was a cutie, yes? Manga version good Bakura was awesome, and anime good Bakura was just- edited out like WOW. Poor guy, but he really was a good guy in the manga - tried to protect his friends, actually helped with strategy, READ TAROT, and cooked well. Dark Bakura was just awesome, and pretty tough - it was also hilarious to see him dawn a humerous, out-of-character look. Also, the Thief King Bakura was a total badass, he just was - HE'S A PIRATE... er, wait, no, not really - MY BAD. But I always thought it was too bad that The Thief King (SPOILERS) died that death at the end, I thought it would've been cool if he'd gone and lived to steal stuff and be a rough-riding badass another day, maybe even lighten up a bit and have the whole Robin Hood thing going on? Hmmm, probably not, but...
2. Malik? Haha, what a sexy beast. They made him look way more fruity in the show though. Loved him at the end though - got more muscle and everything! But anyway, the whole "defeating your dark side" was pretty kickass though, not many people take it seriously (duh) but that's actually pretty hard to do. And Dark Malik? As is same with Bakura, I'm glad good Malik won, but Dark Malik was that guy who you were just like "Wow, that guy is F'ing CRAZY, but I love it ^_^" I was a little creeped out by his dub, "I'm on STEROIDS" voice, but I love his Japanese voice, very nice Plus, his hair was fun to draw.
3. "I'm SETO KAIBA BITCH" Kate knows what I'm talking about. And that's pretty much it, he's Seto Kaiba, bitch - and you better respect dat'. Plus, he was so great to make fun of. And he looked good in the trenchcoat, HE DID. Had a crush on him for awhile, hahaha...
4. Jounouchi? Manga version rocks. Even dub anime version (BROOKLYN RAGE, FTW) was alright. But manga version got in fistfights, struggled to be strong, perservered, and was altogether a good guy. He was actually a pretty positive character, despite having a drunk for a father and his sister living away with his mom. Kick some ass Jounouchi!


Who do people think your favorite character is?
*I think quite a few of my friends know I like this, but I don't think they know my faves. But those who do would probably guess Malik or Bakura.

Now, which character was your favorite when you watched/read Yu-Gi-Oh! for the *first* time?
*"I'M SETO KAIBA, BITCH"
Oh yeah, it was love.


Any character(s) you really hate?
*That guy who was pretending to be Seto Kaiba's ghost, that faux fortune teller (read the manga or see season 0), they were total creeps. I wasn't a fan of Zorc either, even though he is technically Yami Bakura. And I like Yami Bakura - paradox much? But I wasn't a fan of the Noah Kaiba either, just because of that stupid story arc. Blegh.

So, why exactly do you hate him/her/them?
*TOTAL CREEPS. And Zorc went and married Malik, dammit.

Come on, now. Who's the one you have a suppressed obsession and/or admiration of that you really never talk about?
*Jounouchi - just don't talk about him much. Yami Yugi - he IS quite badass but I've never drawn him or anything... Or Yami Bakura. Because somehow, even learning that he was an ugly-ass demon, did not ruin his appeal whilst he possessed poor Bakura. He was cold, calculating and clever, and even humorous in some ways.

As we all know, there are only implied potential romances in Yu-Gi-Oh!, but, if you could choose, which two characters would you love to see together?
*I never liked shipping for this series too much. I like crack pairings generally, so probably something like Seto and Dark Malik - not even kidding. Their dates would be the stuff of legend and utter hilarity. Seriously, just picture them together at a coffee shop or something…



Have a crush on any of the characters?
*In this order exactly - Seto, Yami, Bakura, Malik.
I still like Bakura and Malik the best, followed by Seto.
Yes, I am a dumbass. I like the way they're drawn, okay?!!


Who do you wish had more appearances?
*Good Bakura, they made him into this totally ineffectual guy.


If you had to walk the streets of Tokyo tomorrow, who would you rather dress up as?
*ACK, let's see... Seto Kaiba probably... I already have a trenchcoat ^_^


Who's eyes are the prettiest color?
*O_o Malik's? Nice purple-ish blue.


Who's got a hairDO, and who's got a hairDON'T?
*HairDO: Mailk (both), Bakura (both)
*HairDON’T: Duke Devlin (Burn the witch!), And at times, Yugi/Yami - because that hair NEVER made sense. And Seto needs to keep his trimmed, the mullet don’t work too well.


Who's voice is your favorite?
*English: Bakura (both, and quite yummy as Dark Bakura), Yami,.
*Japanse: Malik (both, VERY nice).



If you were to go to town and make a day out of it, who would you call to join you in your joyful fun time?
*Probably Jounouchi or Bakura (the good one), they seem like good guys. If I had a can of mace with me, I’d bring Dark Malik just for some crazy fun
And Dark Bakura? I’d bring for fun only if I had some holy water and a stake*shot* Though I’ve always wanted to see how he’d act at a dance club or something.


If you were to throw a party, who would you invite?
*The Ishtars (if they wanted to all come), Bakura (the good and bad) and of course Seto and Jounouchi, plus that guy who likes to talk about his hair and Pegasus for being so camp And hell, most of the cast, and some of my friends too.

Is there anyone or anything that reminds you of a character within Yu-Gi-Oh!?
*My trench coat reminds me of Seto. When I get pissy I think of Dark Bakura. My OC Hex reminds me of Dark Malik and Dark Bakura, he was quite influence by them.


Ever met one of the voice actors? If not, which one(s) do you want to meet?
*Nope, but I’d like to see what Malik’s Japanese actor looked like, to compare.
And Dan Green of course!!!


Do you mostly read the manga or mostly watch the animated show?
*I wish I could say the manga, but up until this point, most of my knowledge and fandom has been show-based.


How many volumes of the manga and/or DVDs do you own?
*Didn’t we go over this in merchandise? See above.


Do you have any overly obsessive habits regarding your Yu-Gi-Oh! obsession?
*I have a habit of starting to talk like Steroid voice Dark Malik to myself when I’m pissed “FOOLISH MINDSLAVE” lol. Well, maybe not like that, but you get the idea. Also, I always look around corners when it’s dark out just so I don’t run straight into Dark Bakura and piss him off. Lol. I often mutter, “Because I’m -DAN GREEN/SETO KAIBA/BAKURA BITCH” to myself. And I like to draw these guys, and wonder how things would be if they actually existed.

*See above.


Is there something we need to know about your love for Yu-Gi-Oh!?
*MANGA BETTER, and way more adult. I hate the dub editing - it was meant for teenagers you fools! Never meant for little kiddies, for God’s sakes, Yami Bakura stabs himself in the FREAKING ARM and a bunch of the women dress like sluts, and WHY do you think that the only fans left are the older teenagers? DUH.

*Fave was probably season one, and season two up until that damn Noah Kaiba shit. Millenium World (what I actually saw) is pretty good too ^_^
